For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

Who We Are

The Oasis of Love Church is a vibrant, active, Christian church whose goals and vision continue to expand with the ever-changing needs of our society. Our goal is to reach those who are in need, but our goal doesn’t stop there. If one can make a difference, imagine what a whole body of believers working together can do to be more effective in meeting today’s challenges. Therefore, a second goal we have is to train young men and women to be the leaders of tomorrow. We believe God wants His Church to have input and be an integral part of every sector of society. In whatever area we are involved with, whether politics, economics, entertainment, sports, etc., the kingdoms of this world should become the kingdoms of our God.

What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the Word of God. Holy men of God wrote the Bible as they were inspired of God. The Bible contains the complete revelation of God’s plan and purpose for Man and his salvation. We believe in the continual unveiling of the Scriptures by God’s holy apostles and prophets in the Church today.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He is one Spirit with the Father and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Triune God.

We believe that all power and authority of the God-head rests in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in the New Testament.

We believe Jesus Christ was sent forth by the Father and became Man.

Therefore, we know Him to be the God-Man - True God and True Man. We believe that as Man, Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, that He shed His blood and died on the cross for Man’s sins, then He descended into Sheol-Hades. After three days He was raised to life by the power of the Spirit and ascended to the right hand of the Father. We believe He now dwells in the Church by the Holy Spirit to perfect the Church into His likeness and image. We believe He will come again from heaven a second time in all power and glory to judge the world and establish His everlasting Kingdom with a new heaven and new earth. We believe in order to see and enter into the Kingdom of God we must be born again of the Spirit and the water as Jesus taught in John 3.

The Church

We believe the Universal Church to be the redeemed of all mankind from Adam and for all time. It is the Body of Christ with Christ as the Head. We believe God chose the Church through which to reveal His glory and that the Church is predestined of God to inherit all things with Christ. We believe in Christ’s Great Commission to the Church to spread the Gospel to all nations throughout the world, making disciples and teaching them to observe everything taught by Jesus Christ.

We believe in the importance of the Local Church and that each believer should be a member of a local body of believers for the purpose of receiving training in the Scriptures, discipline and for growth to maturity in Christ.

We believe all believers should experience the six Foundation Stones as given in Hebrews 6.

  1. Repentance from Dead Works
  2. Faith toward God
  3. Doctrine of Baptisms (a. Water b. Holy Spirit c. Fire)
  4. Laying on of Hands
  5. Resurrection of the Dead
  6. Eternal Judgment

We believe in the complete and finished atoning work of Christ which include the following benefits (Heb 6:1-3):

  1. He was wounded for our transgressions
  2. He was bruised for our iniquities
  3. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him
  4. By His stripes we are healed

We believe miracles and other manifestations of power through the Holy Spirit should follow believers as Jesus taught in Mark 16:17-18.

We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit as taught in I Cor. 12.

We believe in the five-fold ministry gifts as found in Eph. 4:11, namely, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.

The Spiritual Order of Worship

Worship is based on the Bible pattern described in the Old and New Testaments and we are admonished throughout the scripture to worship Him. “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, Him only shalt thou serve.”

We believe in the Scriptural order of worship in the Church, including:

  1. Clapping hands (Ps. 47:1) - “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with a voice of triumph.”
  2. Raising of hands (Ps 134:2) - “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary AND BLESS THE LORD.”
  3. Use of musical instruments (Ps. 150) - “Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the psaltery and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance. Praise him with the stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals.”
  4. Audible praise (Heb. 13:15) - “By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.”
  5. Singing of choruses and hymns (Eph. 5:18,19) - “And be not drunk with wine, where in is excess, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hear to the Lord.”
  6. Speaking in tongues and interpretation. (I Cor. 14)
  7. Prophecy in the church. ( I Cor. 14)
  8. Dancing before the Lord (Ps. 149:3) - “Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp.”
  9. Receiving of tithes and offerings (Mal. 3:10) - “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that there is not room enough to receive it.
